福岡を拠点に活動されている彫刻家、山崎悠人さんの作品です。

山崎さんの作品の中でも、たびたび登場するサボテンをモチーフにした作品。

本物の植物を思わせる彩色作品が特徴的ですが、本作はあえて塗装を施す直前の状態で仕上げられています。木そのものの表情や質感をより身近に感じることができ、さまざまな空間にも自然と馴染む作品です。

The cactus is a recurring motif in Yamasaki’s work.

While many of his cactus sculptures are painted to resemble real plants, this piece has intentionally been left unpainted, revealing the natural character and texture of the wood. Its understated presence allows it to blend naturally into a variety of spaces.
